Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED Course
Prepare yourself for emergencies with our comprehensive Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED course, designed to meet the requirements for your Ontario Security Guard License and approved by WSIB. Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate valid for 3 years, ensuring you’re ready to handle critical situations effectively.
Course Overview:
This blended course combines the convenience of online study with the hands-on experience of classroom training. Begin with 3-4 hours of online study with Rescue7, followed by 6-7 hours of in-person classroom instruction with Defron.
What You’ll Learn:
During this course, you’ll acquire essential skills and knowledge to respond confidently to various emergencies. Topics covered include:
- Recognition and prevention of cardiovascular emergencies in adults
- First aid techniques for choking, airway, and breathing emergencies
- Disease transmission prevention
- Proper usage of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Course Registration Process:
- Purchase the course and receive an email from Defron Security Training to select your preferred date and location.
- Complete the online training before your scheduled in-person session.
- Attend the in-person training to receive a temporary certificate.
- Receive your permanent certificate via email within 3-5 days after completing the in-person training.
Note: The Ministry of the Solicitor General requires your permanent certificate for obtaining an Ontario Security License.
